IJN Destroyer Shikinami 1944 1/700

Shikinami was commissioned in 1932 as the 12th ship of the Special Type (Fubuki-class) destroyers (the 10 ships from the 11th ship, Ayanami, to Ushio, were also called Special Type II). At the start of the war, Shikinami belonged to the 19th Destroyer Division along with Isonami, Uranami, and Ayanami, and was active in the Battle of Batavia in 1942, the Third Battle of the Solomon Islands, the Battle of the Bismarck Sea in March 1943, and as a convoy escort, before being sunk by a torpedo attack by the U.S. Navy submarine Growler in the South China Sea in September 1944.
