RAL 6006 Feldgrau was first mentioned in 1927 in the first color chart published by the RAL. The same year after its appearance, RAL 6006 Feldgrau replaced the lighter and less green World War I field grey No. 2. RAL 6006 Feldgrau was used to paint vehicles until 1937.
