RLM 81a Brown Purple Color Guide:

• RLM 81 was firstly mentioned in GL/C-E 10 Nr.10585/43 (IVE) Az.82b 10 of 21 August 1943 and officially introduced in July 1944 according to Sammelmitteilung Nr. 1.
• In 1944, the Luftwaffe bomber aircraft's RLM 70/71 green camouflage was scheduled to use RLM 81 Braunviolett instead of RLM 70 Schwarzgrün, as per Sammelmitteilung Nr. 1 RLM 81.
• RLM 81 Brown Purple was used in late-WW2 camouflages of Luftwaffe fighter and bomber aircraft along with RLM 82 Hellgrün.
• In addition to the brown-purple RLM 81a Braunviolett, it had a dark green RLM 81b Dunkelgrün variation.
