The Type 1 Fighter Hayabusa, which served as the main fighter aircraft of the Japanese Army throughout World War II, had its final production model as the Type 3A. Responding to the demands of the front lines for a faster aircraft, it was equipped with water-methanol injection and a thrust-type single exhaust pipe, achieving a speed increase of approximately 50 km/h compared to the Type 2. Combined with its excellent maneuverability and high reliability, it was favored by pilots and fought valiantly from the end of 1944 in the Philippines, Burma, China, and other locations until the end of the war.
