The Bristol Blenheim was a British light twin-engine bomber of World War II. Some modified aircraft, designated Blenheim Mk.IF and Blenheim Mk.IVF, were used as night fighters or attack aircraft. In 1937, a prototype of the Blenheim Mk.IV was created. The aircraft was distinguished by a fuselage extended by 0.91 m, while the wings were equipped with new fuel tanks. The production aircraft were powered by a pair of Bristol Mercury XV engines with an output of 666 kW. The rotating gun turret was also modified, which was initially equipped with one, and later two Vickers K or Browning Mk.II machine guns of 7.7 mm caliber. Some aircraft carried a movable Vickers K machine gun in the glazed nose. A total of 4,422 aircraft of all versions were created.
