Dark Aluminum Paint Color Guide:
- Most aircraft have aluminum skin and unless required by camouflage requirements, the aluminum panels are usually left unpainted. This lightens weight, improves aerodynamics, prevents excessive heating, etc.
- Some panels are placed along the roll, and some are placed across, and because of that the panels have different shades from different perspectives. Dark Aluminum paint can be used for such a panel effect, as well as 095 Aluminium paint for a regular aluminum shade.
- Dark Aluminium is produced using ultrafine metallic pigment, which would be the best choice for scale modeling.
- Dark Aluminum has a natural metallic shіne when applied. To avoid scratches and oxidation, it is recommended to coat the painted surfaces with a layer of glossy or matte varnish.
