The F-14A Tomcat made history during Operation Frequent Wind in April 1975. As part of the VF-1 Wolfpack Squadron, stationed on the USS Enterprise, she ensured the evacuation of Saigon. The aircraft shown here contributed significantly to the success of this largest military rescue operation. With its superior radar system and characteristic swivel wings, the Tomcat revolutionized maritime air defense and shaped the image of the US Navy for more than three decades.
