Tamiya 1/24 pienoismalli, rakennussarja.

The Fairlady Z was a hit from its release in 1969, and the Japanese line-up was joined in 1971 by the 240Z. It had an elegant long nose and fastback coupe design, 150hp 2.4-liter inline-six engine, 4-wheel independent strut suspension, and a rack and pinion steering setup. Inside the sporty cabin, the driver had a wide array of instrumentation to hand. The car was a bona fide hit with drivers in both Japan and overseas, particularly the United States, and the car was often customized by its adoring owners.

About the Model
  • This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 172mm, width: 71mm, height: 52mm.
  • The 240Z is recreated with popular customizations of its day.
  • The model can also be built as a North American Datsun 240Z.
  • Its 2,393cc inline-six SOHC engine and triple carburetors are rendered realistically. Air funnels are aluminum parts.
  • The car is depicted with lowered suspension.
  • RS Watanabe 8-spoke wheels are a two-part design for an easier paint job.
  • Realistic synthetic rubber tires.

Length: 172 mm. Image shows painted and assembled kit.

  • The ageless 240Z form is captured in style, and the model can be assembled as a left-hand drive North American version, with a red body in images on this page. (The model with a blue body is the Japanese right-hand drive version.)

  • Compare the model with the "G-nose" 240ZG. This kit depicts the car with lowered suspension.
  • Separate parts for plated and rubber bumper sections make for an easier paint job. North American spec overriders are also separate parts.
  • The bonnet opens to let you check out the 2.4-liter L24 engine and its triple carburetors and aluminum air funnels.
  • North American version features such as door-mounted side mirrors and opposite wipers are recreated. The DATSUN emblem is a metal transfer.
  • Separate plated window frames save time in the paint job and really look the part.
  • Rear combination lights use plated and clear parts in conjunction with metal transfers.
  • Stacked twin mufflers are a real eye-catcher. Note the different North American version fuel lid and side markers.
  • Eight-spoke RS Watanabe wheels have separate spoke and rim sections for an easier paint job.
  • A full set of decals features both Japan and North American spec instrumentation. Logos and emblems are also on the metal transfer sheet.
