The anti -bottle IV "Furniture Car" was created in 1944 in response to the increasing need for mobile air defense. It owed his nickname to the characteristic armored plates, which were opened in the battle and reminded of a furniture. The vehicle was based on the proven chassis of the Panzer IV and was armed with the effective 3.7 cm flak 43. This combination made it an important part of German air defense in the late phase of war.
